Spirituality and the Path of Cultivation

Let's talk about "Spirit Guides."

"I have a protector who helps me in meditation." "My guide told me you have negative karma." "I can see things because my guide is with me."

What are these guides?

The Qi Cultivator acknowledges the existence of high-level Spirits (Shen), but they do not interact with humans like this. They are more like forces of nature or law. You don't have a chat with Gravity. You align with the principle, and the power is there.

The Yao Xie version of a "guide" is different.

It talks to you. It gives you tasks. It makes you feel special. "You were a high priestess in Atlantis." "You're a starseed." It's the same reincarnation script, repackaged for the ego.

Yao Xie understand human psychology perfectly. For the suffering, they offer the "debt" story. For the ambitious, they offer the "chosen one" story. Either way, the person clings to the entity.

Ask yourself a few questions about that "guide" voice:

• Has it told you anything specific and verifiable that you couldn't possibly know? Or is it just vague, cozy feelings and coincidences?
• Does it make you feel calm, healthy, and less needy, or anxious, special, and dependent on the connection?
• Does it urge you to drop the ego, or does it inflate it?

The answers are usually clear.
